The Brownie Break-Up Trifle

Okay, people. I made this one up so bare with me here. The name of it? Well, if you'll just imagine a girl that's going through a devastating or nasty break up and she's sobbing in front of the TV being extremely dramatic. Hasn't showered for days, old mascara running down her face as she watches ridiculous sappy love movies screaming "I HATE YOU! LOVE ISN'T REAL!" at the TV....what do you picture her eating at an alarming speed? For me? It would be this..

So freakin' rich, yet so freakin' delicious. I know what you're thinking; Did I gain 10 pounds just now from looking at that? It's okay, I promise you a healthier dessert recipe coming up next to make up for it.

This recipe could fill an actual Trifle Dish, but I used my little mini ones. :) They're so CUTE.

What you will need:
  • 1 pkg. brownie mix or your favorite brownie recipe
  • 4 oz. cream cheese at room temp.
  • 1 C powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c peanut butter
  • 2 8 oz. carton cool whip/whipped topping
  • 1 pkg. chocolate instant pudding
  • 1 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 C. water
  • 1 Snickers bar
Directions:
  • Bake your brownies and allow them to cool completely
  • To make the peanut butter layer, beat the cream cheese until light and fluffy in a large bowl
  • Mix in the powdered sugar
  • Mix in the peanut butter
  • Fold in the cool whip until blended well and streaks are gone
  • Allow to chill while you prepare the chocolate layer
  • To make the chocolate layer, pour the instant chocolate pudding mix into large bowl
  • Mix in the water
  • Mix in sweetened condensed milk
  • Fold in the cool whip until blended well and streaks are gone
  • Allow to chill while you prepare the brownie bites
  • Cut up the brownies into small cubes
  • Layer the brownies, peanut butter and chocolate in a trifle dish and top with Snickers
